Critical use boundary

Decision Atlas is not a medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, safeguarding, emergency, crisis, diagnostic, or treatment service. It does not instruct a client what to do and it does not replace practitioner judgement.

If a case involves immediate danger, abuse, suicide, self-harm, medical crisis, severe psychological distress, or a safeguarding concern, do not rely on Decision Atlas. Use the appropriate professional safeguarding, referral, or emergency route immediately.

1. What Decision Atlas provides

Decision Atlas generates decision-support reports by matching an anonymised or pseudonymised client situation against reviewed decision-outcome signals. Reports may include pattern detection, observed outcome paths, risk indicators, evidence boundaries, coach questions, session structure, and follow-up prompts.

Reports are practitioner preparation material only. They are not predictions, guarantees, instructions, or professional advice to the client. Observed outcome patterns reflect co-occurrence in reviewed source material and do not establish causality or prove what will happen in any individual case.

2. Practitioner responsibility

The practitioner remains solely responsible for client consent, professional judgement, scope boundaries, safeguarding decisions, record keeping, supervision use, and any action taken before, during, or after a session. Decision Atlas does not make decisions for the practitioner or the client.

You must use Decision Atlas only within your own competence, professional standards, client agreements, and applicable laws and ethical codes including those of any professional body to which you belong.

3. No crisis or safeguarding use

You must not use Decision Atlas for crisis assessment, emergency support, safeguarding assessment, suicide or self-harm assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, or clinical decision-making of any kind.

Decision Atlas may block or decline report generation where the input appears to contain crisis, suicide or self-harm, emergency, severe clinical-risk, or safeguarding language. Such blocking is a precaution, not a safety assessment.

4. Client data and prohibited input

Decision Atlas is designed for anonymised or pseudonymised input. You must not submit full client names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, medical records, safeguarding details, abuse details, direct identifiers, or unnecessary sensitive information. The client reference field should contain a first name, initials, pseudonym, or internal reference only.

You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from your client for the submission of their anonymised situation to a third-party decision-support service, in accordance with your professional obligations and applicable data protection law.

5. Evidence and limitations

Reports show observed patterns from reviewed public and institutional sources including legal records, parliamentary evidence, peer-reviewed research, and consented practitioner submissions. Outcome distributions are risk signals only — not population rates, predictions, or forecasts. Where a report states that a cohort is directional or below a statistical stability threshold, it must not be treated as a population rate or as evidence of causality.

The vault over-samples adverse and high-regret outcomes by design. This is stated in every report. Outcome distributions should be used as session prompts, not as forecasts for any individual client.

6. Payment and report generation

Payment is due at the point of purchase before a report is generated. All fees are stated in GBP. VAT treatment, where applicable, will be shown at checkout or on the invoice. USD pricing is indicative and subject to exchange rate variation.

Reports are non-refundable once successfully generated and delivered. A report is considered successfully delivered when a PDF download is made available to your account. If a report fails to generate due to a technical fault on our side, you may request a re-generation or a full refund by contacting privacy@decisionatlas.co.uk within 7 days.

If the matched signal count for your input falls below the minimum threshold (fewer than 5 matched cases), no report will be generated. If payment has already been captured for that failed generation, the charge should be voided, credited, or refunded.

Pricing may change. Changes to pricing will be communicated by email to account holders and published on the pricing page before they take effect.

7. Data use for service improvement

Decision Atlas may use anonymised report metadata, decision categories, pattern classifications, outcome categories, and follow-up results to improve future pattern matching, report quality, and aggregate decision intelligence. Client-identifying details are not required and must not be submitted.

8. Account access and security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share account access with others unless authorised by a team or enterprise account arrangement. Reports generated under your account are your responsibility. You must not allow reports to be accessed by unauthorised persons.

9. Report distribution

Reports are intended for the purchasing practitioner or authorised account user. Practitioner-only pages must not be forwarded to clients, employers, third parties, insurers, legal representatives, or public forums unless you have independently assessed and accepted the legal, ethical, privacy, and professional implications. Only pages explicitly marked as client-safe within the report are suitable for sharing with a client.

10. Intellectual property

All report content, pattern logic, scoring methodology, and platform design are the intellectual property of Decision Atlas. You may use reports for your own professional practice. You may not reproduce, resell, republish, or distribute report content, scoring frameworks, or pattern descriptions for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Decision Atlas and its operators, directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service or any report generated by it.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the report or reports to which the claim directly relates. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Decision Atlas and its operators against any claims, losses, damages, or costs arising from your misuse of the service, your breach of these terms, your submission of prohibited content, or any action you take based on a report that falls outside the stated use boundary.

13. Service changes and availability

Decision Atlas may update report structure, matching logic, safety filters, pricing, availability, and product features as the service develops. We will give reasonable notice of material changes. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted service availability.

14. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate account access where these terms are breached, where prohibited content is submitted, where the service is misused, or where account activity poses a risk to other users or to the integrity of the platform.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
